Biography

I’ve been judging West Coast Swing competitions for five years and remain actively involved as an All-Star competitor, instructor, and coach. My dance experience also includes extensive work with choreographed routines, particularly Pro-Am routines incorporating lifts, tricks, and other partnered elements.

My judging philosophy centers on clarity, timing, and partnership. I believe technique provides the foundation for dancers to communicate clearly, move with intention, and honor both the music and their partner. Musicality grows from that technical proficiency, giving dancers the freedom to express what they hear, when and how they choose.

To me, performance is the natural extension of those skills, the confidence and comfort to connect not only with a partner but also with an audience.

I value dancers who demonstrate strong fundamentals while bringing their own individuality, creativity, and personality to the floor.
