Biography

Jim Minty has been active in the dance community since he started social/competitive dancing in 1987. Coming from Country/Ballroom dancing, focusing on the swing world from 92 onwards Jim is a versatile, experienced and knowledgeable member of the swing dance community. He has been a champion competitor/Showcase and Classic, Judge, Chief Judge and emcee at numerous events around the World. Jim has been a Chief Judge since 2003, as well as teaching aspiring teachers and judges how to judge since 2003. From 2006-2015 Jim was the Director for the very successful Seattle's Easter Swing.  Jim is also an accomplished Program/Project Manager in IT and currently volunteering with Emergency Management.
