This page explains what the Judge Education platform does with your data. It supplements the Privacy Policy of the World Swing Dance Council, which applies to the WSDC as an organisation and remains the authoritative statement on who we are, the legal basis on which we act, and your rights. What follows here is what is specific to this platform — the certification of judges within the Affiliated Judges Program.
Your name, username and email address. Accounts are created by the Judges Committee when you are invited into the program. Your password is stored only in encrypted form and is never visible to us.
Your WSDC ID, your country and — if you choose to enter them — your preferred airports, together with the track level you were assigned. We use this to give you access to the right course and to match you to your record in the WSDC registry.
Which lessons you have completed and when, how long a lesson has been open, and your quiz attempts including the answers you gave, the marks awarded and the time of each attempt. This is what determines whether you complete the certification and at which level.
When you sign the pledge we record the date and time, your name, WSDC ID, country, IP address and browser identification, as evidence that the signature was given. The signature you draw is never transmitted or stored — only the fact that you signed it.
The level awarded, the date of issue and a unique certificate ID.
If you use the contact form we store your name, email address, the topic, your message and, if you provide it, your WSDC ID — together with your IP address, browser identification and the page you came from. We keep this so that we can answer you and so that we have a record of the exchange.
Two parts of this site are public on purpose:
Nothing else — no progress, no quiz results, no contact messages — is visible to anyone but you and the Judges Committee.
This platform sets only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to remember your settings while you use the site. There is no advertising, no profiling and no third-party tracking here.
Your account and your certification record are kept for as long as the WSDC maintains your judge certification. Even after a certification ends we keep the record that it was issued, because organisers must still be able to verify a certificate that was valid at the time it was used.
Contact messages are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to understand its history. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
You can see, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it you can change yourself under Account → Profile → Edit. For anything else — including deletion — write to [email protected].
Your full rights, and the routes for exercising them, are set out in the WSDC Privacy Policy.
